I've had this Dawes Karakum since January this year, when I bought it new. I still have the original receipt.
It's an 18" frame. I bought it online using Dawes' sizing guide and it fit me fine. I'm 5' 8" and average build.
It's taken me across the Coast to Coast and on a couple of tours.
I've now ordered an expedition tourer so I can access more difficult terrain.
My bike comes complete with a two-legged Esge Pletscher kickstand, two aluminium bottle cages, suspension seat post, full mudguards, puncture resistant tyres, 27 gears (for easy hill climbing) and Shimano M520, mountain-bike-type clipless SPD pedals. I can easily swap the pedals for flat ones or traditional clips if you prefer.
It's been well cared for and is very clean with only the most minor of scuffs and marks but there's nothing wrong with it.
As it stands you can add front and rear panniers and you're off on an adventure.
Take off the front racks and add some rear panniers and use it for shopping.
Remove all the racks for a leisure bike or commuter.
It really is a good quality, all-round bike.
