These bags have only recently come on the market so you'll be lucky to find a second-hand one.

cheers rual it seems to tick all the boxes for me but i can't afford £55 from carradice plus postage to ireland another £10 very expensive.
i want a saddlebag that site perfect on the carradice expedition bag support ,dont want it  sagging either side of rack ,and it seems the right size for the amount of gear i carry on day rides.

The Barley is very similar & you might have better luck finding one of these:

The main difference I think is leather & buckles vs nylon & fastex.

No joy i'm afraid and i'm not with ebay ::).
would the only difference between the audex and barley be plastic  buckles on audex
which i find better or the straps on the barley.

i  reckon that bag would cost me with postage around 70 euro expensive for a saddlebag ???

The main difference between the Audax and Barley is the webbing straps and plastic buckles rather than leather straps and metal buckles, but there is another slight difference in that the lid of the Audax is shaped as opposed to the flat lid/flap of the Barley.
I bought a Super C Barley (original name for Audax when it was only available from Peter White in the States) a couple of years ago by emailing Carradice and they sold me a spare they had in the factory.
Back then the price was only ?36 so there has been a massive price increase since then.
