Title: Tubeless

Am I right thinking in the rim must be designed for it and there is no chance of it working unless they are? Thanks JB

yes u need tubeless ready rims.

If the rims and tire are designed for tubeless systems then it will work.

I have tubeless on my 29 Plus bike (non thorn obviously) and it has worked flawlessly so far. The rims are WTB Scraper and the tires Vittorio Bomboloni. It was professionally set up, I didn't do it. Finished the last part of the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route on it. Encountered many goathead and other thorns, punctures, but no flats. They all sealed. My riding buddy had four or five flats.

Having said that, I see no need to convert my other bikes to tubeless, but with the right gear it works.

This is an interesting contribution to the tubeless debate.  It looks as if some latex tubes have less rolling resistance than an equivalent tubeless tyre.  https://www.bicyclerollingresistance.com/specials/schwalbe-one-tubeless-clincher
