Title: Cobalt blue touch up
Post by: fast but dim on September 19, 2014, 05:17:37 PM
Anyone got a good colour match touch up pen for thorn's cobalt blue?  ???

Mate's bike rack has taken a toll on my seatstay!

ask Thorn?  I have a couple of touch-up pots (red/blue) with the bike frame.  I'm sure they can send you one.

I'd appreciate the chance to buy standard frame colours from SJS. My raven sport tour didn't come with any green touch up paint which was a shame.

asked: they get frames powder coated, so nothing for touch up. They said (helpfully) get a metallic blue touch up pen.

My blue Audax came with a tiny phial of touch-up paint. Sorry, though - you can't have it. In any case it has probably dried up by now.

I wonder if art shops might have something?

I managed to scratch my Blue RST, when I got the frame I also got a touch up pot.  While the touch up colour is blue it does not match the frame colour (not even close).  Go to a motor factors and have a look though the car touch ups, the blue of my bike is very close to the metallic blue they used to spray Vauxhall Corsa's in.  Get one with a brush rather than a spray it is much easier to apply on small area's.
