HI has any one got any experience of touring in Norway.
Looking to be based in Oslo and undertaking 20-30 miles per day
What are the ups and what are the downs.
thanks

I did tour Norway a few years ago in mid summer. I focused on the far north, although I did fly into Oslo, and also fly out from there.
Some of the best scenery is on the west coast and my favorite part was the Lofoten Islands.
You willl have to tackle some tunnels if you venture near the fjords. Some are quite long and cyclists are banned from the most dangerous.
Will you only ride near Oslo?

Love your photos, Cycladelic, and your courage going with bare knees into Scandinavia!

Many thanks, Andre
Bear in mind it was the middle of summer and I was blessed with sunny weather.
The shallow water was quite warm, although I wouldn't want to swim far from the beach.

It seemed the locals couldn't get enough summer sunshine. This shot was taken on Mid-Summer's Day, while cycling on the country's highest road... they are all shirt-less:
