Must be an XTC I understood Nemesis were courier light 700c models, anyhoo KS = Kevin Sayles. THE kevin sayles yes.
51x56 cm

Always wanted a Nemesis - but I thought it was essentially a 26" wheel version of a Cyclosportif, with caliper brakes etc.
This looks much like my XTC swb but with horizontal dropouts
-
Does anybody have any more information about the Nemesis? Especially interested in tyre clearance

The frame looks very much like a Thorn Commutour to me.. long horizontal road drop outs ( Campagnolo ) & the gear cable guides on the down tube, rather than the gear lever/ bolt-on down tube stops used on XTC's etc. are the big give away. The few Nemesis models built had caliper brakes I seem to remember..

I suspect it is this very frameset which I previously owned !

Went for £222 BARGAIN

same bike,
the buyer had it a year and stripped it,
it was relisted as frame set and as a nemesis again http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thorn-Custom-Light-Touring-Commuting-Frame-/171857565352?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item28038256a8 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thorn-Custom-Light-Touring-Commuting-Frame-/171857565352?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item28038256a8)
i"ll let you know what i think when it gets here, should be tomorrow 8)

anyone had or got a commutour. if so what did/do you think

what tubing is it ,did it get a new paint job.

Hi Jags
both listings say custom built and Nemesis and 725,
tbh a large pinch of salt is needed as i think that's sellers bigging it up for a better price
the tubes look straight not conical so i'm guessing it's a commutour in reynolds 525, but according to the wayback machine commutours only had 1 set of bottle boss's
up post it says the Nemesis had caliper brakes but the only pic i can find shows it with canti's,
i bought it as it looks to be my size and fancied another project, can't think of a better one than a handbuilt Thorn by Mr Sayles 8)
should be all fine when it's done, might even be Alfine lol

Bill if it was built by Sayles its a cracking bike for sure, doesn't he still build custom bikes .
best of luck with the build.
i passed on my raleigh 753 to my son last year its still hanging in the shed ,he's forever building it up has most everything but hes that feckin easy going it might never get done.
anyway Bill enjoy the new build dont forget post a few photos. ;)
