Title: Recommendations for 26" slicks
Post by: neil_p on June 02, 2014, 08:09:34 PM
After a 3 year break from most cycling, my mojo is coming back and I'd like to do some sportives again*.  Any recommendations for 26" slicks that have decent puncture protection?

Schwalbe Kojak's are top of the list at the moment, simple because I trust the brand and the name rocks. Panaracer used to be my go to brand but a bad pair of Paselas changed that (punctures every day for a week).

*my other passion besides touring. I love being at the start next to all the carbon cuddling roadies... and beat most of them :)

Kojaks are good, but I took mine off after they lost grip on a wet corner and dumped me on the tarmac for the only time I've ever come off my bike on the road, I replaced them with Supremes which seem to have more grip.

yeah slicks can do that right enough.the supreams are excellent but the kojak would be a much faster tyre i imagine.
