I have a 2 year old Nomad the expedition carrier that came with it has two Alan key bolts at the end of the parallel tubes. I notice the latest version has a back plate presumably drilled for a Cat Eye or similar rear lamp. Is this plate brazed to the carrier ? If not is it available to fit my older model ?
Thanks

You'll probably be able to fit something from here:

Thanks for the swift response chaps I'd trawled the Thorn site but not the SJS one. Just down from Penrith to collect a new Raven bike tomorrow and presently downing some fine ales near Glastonbury.

Good luck with the new bike. And yes, those brackets already 'linked' to are just a straight replacement of the rear bar - very simple.

All congratulations, Manstein -- how exciting! Can't wait to see photos of your new "baby" gracing our gallery.
You'll have a wonderful day tomorrow. Sleep well tonight (if you can!).
Best,
Dan.

Picked up the Raven today. It came with the lamp plate as well as the original cross piece for the expedition carrier. Thorn also gave me another plate to upgrade the carrier on the Nomad. Had quick blast round the lanes se of Glastonbury today and the bike was very well set up only a tweak of the saddle position required, noticeably livelier than the Nomad.
