Title: Retrofitting rear mech end to a Raven...
Post by: Roberto on August 05, 2006, 01:13:04 PM: I've seen these frames for sale lately on Ebay UK. Where's the point? Is it that the initial cost of a Rohloff bike is too high?. Here's the link:

why buy a rohloff spefic frame to weld on a deraileur hanger [at considerable cost too as he has said] and install a normal rear wheel ... why not just buy a Sherpa, xTc or a nomad frame to start with???

He did have 3 frames for sale – seams to have sold 1.

Post by: stutho on August 16, 2006, 12:48:41 PM: Rob - I had the same thought however I don't think SJSC still produce the 'true blue' paint finish (as on one frame). Therefore I don't think that these are a pre-production batch. Also If they were pre-production / development items SJSC would say so and sell them under there Ebay account.
