Title: Mini gorilla
Post by: Matt2matt2002 on February 27, 2014, 07:46:14 PM
Isn't it great when you get a new gadget?

I lost my old camera gorilla on the beach at Aberdeen harbour. It's somewhere in the North Sea now!

Picked up a smaller version with the added bonus of orange magnetic feet.

Shown hear on a metal bridge. Very strong magnetic pull kept it and my camera firmly in place

Here's a result

Although the feet are shorter than the one I lost. they wrap around my handlebar neatly.

Matt,

I think I need to downsize my Joby Gorillapod as this one is a little too big.

Although I did use it for this: (which I have previously posted)

Using this camera on the Gorillapod.

But I think I could easily downsize by a couple of models.
On my first overnighter on the Nomad last week (four day, three nights) I used my cellphone camera for a lot of the shots and they came out surprisingly well:

I also have the Joby gorillapod, which is a slightly smaller version of yours it suits all my needs as my camera is lumix and is not too heavy. I like the idea of having one with magnetic feet though.

Guess I will have to watch out for my phone and tablet being near the magnetic feet!
