Hilarious. They don't have that kind of humor over on this side of the Atlantic.

Great ad indeed, though it's currently banned by UK's Advertising Standards. Apparently it encourages "behaviour prejudicial to health and safety". More on CTC forum: http://forum.ctc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=83574

There are petitions going to revert this ridiculous decision.

Now withdrawn: http://www.asa.org.uk/News-resources/Media-Centre/2014/Cycling-Scotland-Ruling.aspx

Quote
“The ASA has withdrawn its formal ruling against a Cycling Scotland ad pending the outcome of an Independent Review. That followed a request from Cycling Scotland, in which it argued that the ASA’s criticism of the positioning of the cyclist was incorrect. The decision to withdraw was made by the ASA Chief Executive in light of a potential flaw in our ruling. Once the Independent Review process is complete we will publish our decision on our website.”

Where's the clapping smiley?  :D

Not clapping yet, they started an Independent Review and the outcome is still not certain. However, if they consult anyone knowing what they're on about, there's no way the ban can hold...

Let's hope so.
