bike upstairs
Biking upstairs is bound to be good cardio, Anto, but a bit hard on the tires! :Di meant to invite the lot of ya over for the big day but i didn't want to spoild your cycling plans.
;D
All best wishes your way and to the lovely bride and her husband-to-be. You'll do wonderfully, I'm sure; just speak from the heart if called to do so. A lot of precious memories in the making. Please pass along my best to all.
Dan.

I have two unmarried daughters (21 and 18 years old).
I don't know how I will feel if or when they get hitched.
Probably very mixed emotions..... ;D :'(
A rite of passage for the family.
Every best wish for their future happiness.
All the best for the big day jags!
-
Best wishes for much happiness to all, jags, and I hope the weather gods co-operate too!

Was there ever an Irishman stuck for words???
I know why Anto's nervous... Bride's side pays, no? ;)
Mate, you'll have a brilliant day! I've married off two of three girls (the third just decided to postpone the wedding, and go straight to the marraige). Just think of it as not losing your daughter - you're gaining a drinking buddy! :D
-
The speech must surely conclude with 'and now please glass your charges and raise them to the gride and broom!'
You're a lucky lad, fill your boots and savour the day!
-

if i'm allowed i'll post a few photos . ::)

I'm sure you'll have a great time at this wedding Anto, looking forward already to the pics - I'm sure you'll scrub up fine, remember to ditch the white Dura Ace socks! The craic will be out of this world too I bet.

Congratulations, mate! Dancing at your childrens' weddings is one of life's great rites of passage, and should be done with gusto. I get tired and emotional, but we're known among our daughters' friends as being able to rock the young ones under the table!
Of course, the music has to right - none of that techno-pop, hip-hop, gangsta rap for this old rooster. Like the man said, "I like that old time rock and roll"!
What's next to look forward to, Anto? Any more weddings? Grand kiddies?
Best wishes,
Sam
-
cheers Sam eh hopefully not for a long long time i'm not much of a dancer sooner be home cleaning me bike listening to some good old folk music ;D ;D

Cutting the cake; Anto's lovely daughter and handsome son-in-law at the wedding; a fine-looking couple, indeed!
All congratulations and best wishes their way!
Best,
Dan.
-
What a grand looking couple. Congratulations, Jags.
-
Thanks Andre, my nephew posted loads of photos on face book I'm not in one of them ;D ;D i did walk her down the isle but so far no one posted a photo of it.
-
Congratulations, Jags! A big day, well done! Decades of happiness to all involved!
-
Wonderful, Jags, and much happiness to you all in the years ahead.
(A note on parties, for Sam: When our David and Sarah, now in Broadbeach QLD, were married in 2010, we held the reception in our backyard. A lovely day in May it was, too. The Younger Tendency then decamped to Montreal for an all-night party, where they'd reserved a club. Can hardly blame them--with Montreal just two hours' drive away, why stay in Ottawa?)
-
Well done Jags,
They're a lovely looking couple.
We all wish them a long and happy married life.
Does this mean there's an extra room in your house to keep bikes in now?
Cheers,
pj
-
Well done Anto, you must be extremely proud. :)

Father of the bride speech had me shaking in the months before.
I recalled slipping in this one that had the dads chuckling...
When a father has a daughter he is happy on two days.
When she is born and when she marries.
I think the original is a Russian phrase and the words daughter and marries are replaced with ' boat' and ' is sold'.
Can't go wrong complimenting he mothers of the bride and groom.
' Mums are always there with a cuddle and sound advice.
Days are good too. Always there with a cuddle, sound advice and a big wallet!'
Let us know how it goes and good luck.
Matt…

Congratulations jags! Will all thoughts now be turning to the new bike you've been

Why indeed, John? :D
The bright lights and big city have always attracted our girls. They grew up in Singleton, a small Hunter Valley mining town. They all made the progression - Newcastle (where our eldest settled and gave us grandkids), to Sydney, to New York! Had there been a bigger town to aspire to, they would have gone there next... :)
Anto - "life is good". Never a truer word was said. And the alternative's not worth thinking about!! :D
