Is this the world’s most expensive bike?

Gee, for a million bucks I'd like some innovation too, not just bling that will wear off at the first application of the brakes.
Truly, a bike for a muppet, albeit a rich one.

It reminds me of a gold plated Delorean I saw in a motor museum years ago. I bet they don't do it in my size.

[Dan, carefully considering something that doesn't really deserve it...]
Hmm.
Not a bad finish for corrosion resistance, but a real expense when it comes time to replace the consumables -- chain, chainring, cassette, brake discs. :D
Practicality aside, I'll bet most of the materials costs were in the headbadge diamonds. Gold being gold, only a little bit would go a long, long way if it is electroplate.
Best,
Dan. (...who figures at the equivalent of £607,686, that bike's cost would equal almost 268 base-spec Nomads or 450.5 base-spec Audaxes)

How about adding a bit of value http://www.rohloff.de/en/company/wanted_100000/auction/
And is the gold chain up to Rohloff standards? http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/rohloff-slt-99-road-gold-plated-24-karat-chain-114-links-8-speed-7001-prod16443/

A contrast in real value, against the pointless vulgarity of the gold-plated Surly bike.

You don't buy a bike like that, you park next to it. Safe from thieves, bird poop, and tree sap.

Scroll down in this link to 1993 to see a more justifiably expensive bike:
