Cycle lanes are a bit cough patched cough.
This route is LOVELY:

But do not go in rush hour on the Jordanstown to Larne leg from Belfast. You can get a train though, after 9 they take bikes (not tandems though if you ask nicely before hand they may say yes, NI people aren't like Germans as in "ziz is ze rulez" to get from Belfast to Larne.
