For all you folk who've successfully moved beyond Daguerreotypes: http://www.independent.co.uk/extras/indybest/gadgets-tech/the-10-best-rugged-cameras-8896860.html

I have ... but have gone back. Not quite to Daguerrotypes ... but to circa 1982 Nikon F3 Hp's and tri-x. Pretty happy about it ... except on really hot sunny days.

I loose so many cameras I have down graded to a cheapie I can forget about.
Maybe if I up up up graded I would pay more attention to where I lay it down while out riding?

They had the Pentax WG-3 on the list. I recently bought that and am quite happy with it. I usually use a superzoom camera (Pentax X90) but wanted a waterproof one for wet days. The reviews I read before I bought suggested that an Olympus model was slightly better, but I bought the Pentax because I have several other Pentax digital cameras and wanted one with similar menu system. It however does not have as much manual control as I would have liked.

Good results, Mike -- nice work.

Love these monotones you achieve, Mike.
