Title: Thorn Raven vs Raven Sport, size comparison

The wife had (stolen in Nepal) a Raven 487L and now see some comparable Sport Tour on sale.


Which would be the closer size. 486L or the 511S?
Considering the 487L had a good stand over height and she had about 20mm clearance. It wouldn't have wanted to be any higher. The top tube 'could' have been 20-30mm shorter as I had to put a pretty short stem.

Her main concern is always the standover height.

Would the 486L be OK?

Contact Dave Whittle at SJS or Andy Blance about sizing issues.  My own take would be the 486L would be very close, possibly with a shorter top tube IIRC.

Yes, 486L is pretty much equivelant to 487L in the RT. The mm difference in sizing was largely to avoid getting the boxed frames mixed up in the store.
