Hi All!
One of the first American books to explore the custom framebuilding culture through builder interviews was The Custom Bicycle, by Michael Kolin and Denise de la Rosa. I see ClassicRendezvous is hosting a .PDF copy of the book, and I am assuming they have the authors' permission, since it is long out of print: http://classicrendezvous.com/publications/thecustombicycle.pdf
If you download a copy, look at Figure 1-13 on Page 24; it shows *my* 1980 Centurion ProTour's seat cluster as an example of a wrapover or fully wrapped seatstay.
A fun read.
