have inquired about the size as I think it looks bigger than the 500s stated

If there is a serial number on the bottom of the bottom bracket, it's probably possible to work out the size from that. My bike's serial number is C565L10010 and the size is 565L.

500S is a Raven Tour size, no such size for RST, it looks like a 511S or 511L to me.
