LA serial number means made in England by LA cycles...so it's a UK made frame :)
It may fit me too...but can it take winter tires?

As far as I know LA in the serial number indeed means LA cycles. They made some of the fillet-brazed XTCs for Thorn, my partner has one and the frame is excellent. If you look closely in the photos this Brevet seems to be fillet-brazed too, so this really looks like a UK-made frame, and a nice one at that. Reynolds 525 is maybe not the highest-end tubing but Dave Yates seems to be using it for his tourers, so it can't be bad I guess. A really nice bike overall.

I've an XTC, it's too large so waiting for a 500S to show up.
Indeed, fine work of frame building and comfortable to boot. They still actually build frames!

The seller lists the bike as :- Frame: Thorn Brevet, Reynolds 525 chrome-moly conical tubing,Indigo,silver graphics, 594L
Not sure how big that is, but it reads as fairly large?
