Also: one other audax with few details.
http://www.gumtree.com/p/for-sale/thorn-audax/1021663588
"It's a 23"/57.5cm centre to centre seat tube." Don't know what size that makes it on the Thorn matrix.
-
It looks to be one of the original Thorn Audaxs - I am sure Dan will be along in a bit with a link to the original brochure. It looks like a traditional frame (non compact) so it would st be a 23/57.5 although I think a 23" is closer to 58.5 not 57.5.
Either way a nice looking bike and a fair price for a mk1

Hey Guys,
I went all the way back to 2005 for this one. At that time, there were multiple Audax models -- the Audax 853 and the Audax Classic...in both standard and oversize (1 1/8" top tube, 1 1/4" down tube) dimensions.
Looking closely at the photo, this one appears to be an oversize Classic. I no longer see the size in the ad on the browser I'm using at the moment, but a nominal 23"/57.5cm c-c equates most closely with Thorn's c-t listing for the oversize size 575S with a 23-1/8in c-t seat tube, 22-5/8in/575mm top tube, 270mm BB height, 72.5° seat angle, and 32-5/8in standover.

Best,
Dan. (...who should be asleep now)

I wonder if its a UK or Taiwanese frame?

Looks like the bike has sold. Hopefully to someone off here as it would be nice to follow its future.

Hi Paul!
Welcome to the Forum. Thanks so much for posting the specifics on the bike here, as they will help others in making a decision and might make a sale for you.
It is a lovely bike by all indications, a sort of "modern classic" with 9-sp components.
Best of luck!
Dan.
