Title: Bike stuff I'd love to try...
Post by: Danneaux on April 17, 2013, 08:48:07 PM
Hi All!

This new topic springs into existence thanks to Brummie's excellent suggestion, here: http://www.thorncycles.co.uk/forums/index.php?topic=6335.msg38269#msg38269

This is a sort of what-if to ponder...

If money weren't a factor, what bit of bike stuff would you love to try?

It needn't be practical.

Expense wouldn't matter.

Longevity wouldn't be a factor.

Just...what if...and fill in the blank for us, please! (even better if you include links)

All the best,

Dan. (...who is bursting with curiosity to hear what you'd like to "try")

Wow, that looks like fun! While out on the Nomad yesterday, I spoke with a fellow  riding a tadpole trike of similar design to the Icebike. I asked him if there were any drawbacks. With a sheepish grin, he said he went through a lot of rear tires. Howzzat? I asked; in response he rode away like mad, cut the steering to full lock and squeezed the rear brake. Presto! A perfect 180° turn.

He said it is addictive and...I believe him!

Best,

Dan. (...who thinks going 'round in circles would be a whole lot of fun on a recumbent tadpole trike)

Having worked in the ski industry and a fan of Ortovox products for avalanche rescue equipment and rucksacks, I have been surprised at their
latest offering. If you like hill walking and cycling, then the Mountainskyver Trail would be on the list ...

More never ending downhill!
