Hi All!
Thorn/SJSC are offering a top-spec Mercury here: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/thorn-mercury-520l-stealth-black-rohloff-sport-touring-bike-used-prod31155/ Is £1,999.99, was £3,350.00...hard to find, as they mentioned on their Facebook page. Reposted here for those interested who might not have seen the listing.
Best,
Dan.

Phew, just too small, I was nearly £2000 worse off! Bargain to be had for someone.
-
Wow, thats a really nice looking bike, I love the colours
-
Just my size, but my financial controller is not going to sign off on that one >:(
-
It really is stunning. Would be a shame to put mudguards, rack and dynohub on it! I'm increasingly drawn to the mercury concept but cannot afford the list price. Let's hope someone returns a bigger one at some stage.

I just bought it...thanks for all the kind advice re my search...not exactly the touring bike I intended but couldn't resist...even though the bank account will suffer !!

Steve

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay, Steve! It was "one of us" that got it, so now we get to pester you with questions and requests for photos, impressions, etc.
All congratulations on a most beautiful bike and a wonderful ride; so happy for you!
Best,
Dan.

Fantastic bike Steve, nice one ;)
-
Yes, congratulations. Let us know what you do to it, and indeed with it!

I'm quite pleased it was a size too small for me, otherwise I would be currently deciding how to explain such a monumental purchase to my beloved. Especially as I already have a Thorn!
Enjoy, Steve, you lucky chap!
Gary.

Just to say that I received the bike today and I am very very pleased...not perhaps the tourer I set out to buy but wow !!
I'll post some pics once I have figured out how to.
It seems a shame to put a rack/guards on the bike ...so will think more about this.
Again thank you to all who have responded to my enquiries in such a friendly and helpful manner.
Much appreciated.
Regards
Steve
