Keep any eye out #Rohloff Hub serial #111878 has been cut out of a wheel on a customers Thorn Nomad, any info please e-mail us.

Bastards.....
Must have known what they were looking for which means they will know how to avoid detection when selling it.
Probably build it into another machine and sell it as a rohloff bike, or maybe stolen to order.
Can only guess what the owner feels like.

Now that's one Rohloff that I hope breaks as soon as he has it built into an expensive wheel. He can't get service if his name is not registered in the Big Book at Rohloff.
It's an important reason to return the (red) guarantee card to Rohloff if your bike vendor hasn't done it for you. I don't know how Thorn handles it, but German bike dealers do it for the new owner.

Oh?
I am about to buy a second hand Raven. Should I notify Rohloff that I am the new owner?

I don't know quite how it works, Matt, either about registration or who can collect on what is effectively a lifetime warranty, certainly for the first owner. Has anyone registered the transfer of a preloved Rohloff box before?

Just e-mail service@rohloff.de with your details, including:
- Serial #
- Bike its fitted to
- Version (ex box/internal cable, disc/non disc)
- Colour
- If you have it the previous owners details
They can tell you if its recorded stolen, and if not change their records to you.

Thanks, Dave.
That's a good service of Rohloff, to help prevent theft.
