Shows the risk of an ebay auction without reserve.

Andy

It was a very tatty bike with a strange spec and small size, we expected to get about that for it.

That looks identical to my frame. The touching up on the front fork is the same, as are the paint chips. Mine was 7 years old though and came to Thorn as a frame only (I had drops on it). Oh well, coincidence!

Have you checked that your bike is still outside, Jane? :o

No, seriously. Everyone is always going on about locking your bike out on the street and in the bike rack. But a few years ago there was a really frightening statistic out of France, where it was said that 70% of bike thefts are from people's homes. I have long since locked my bike even inside...

Me, too. Always. Thieves in recent break-ins locally have arrived on foot and left on bikes -- freshly stolen bikes, carrying their loot -- for a quick getaway.

Sigh.

Best,

Dan.

No it's not been stolen! The frame went to Thorn with paint damage.

Yes, I Saw this Lonely Space where once stood a well-loved Bicycle, and now was Nothing. The Oracle isn't always perfectly Clear, but it never misses an Event altogether.

Glad to hear you bike hasn't been stolen, Jane.
