Title: Rohloff on a Brompton?
Post by: Steve137 on June 07, 2005, 07:35:11 AM
Does anyone know if it's possible to fit a Rohloff hub to a Brompton and if so has anyone actually done it?

Yes it has been done.
I think that Steve Parry has done it.  Try google.

Channel Wasson is a USA Brompton dealer in Palo Alto, California.  His website is www.foldabike.com.  I went to his home business about a year ago, and when the dust settled, I departed with a yellow and black T6 in my trunk.

Mr. Wasson had a personal Rohloff equipped Brompton, and he had extra Rohloff hubs and rear triangles that he had locally brazed with Rohloff specific dropouts.  At that time, however, he was personally walking the path of the Schlumpf Swiss Mountain Drive convert after his journey to the mountain (Switzerland)!

I enjoyed interacting with Mr. Wasson.  He is an upfront and straight ahead kind of guy.
