Title: older tents where to look .
Post by: jags on November 19, 2012, 01:20:41 PM
So what about buying older models of lightweight tents at bargain prices ;) 2008 to 2010 should be able to pick up a really good tent  is this possible ::)

The obvious answer being on ebay. They do seem to be some online sellers of new older season tests at good prices. Just a case of trying to decide which one suits you best.

Cheers

cheers Andy but i was more thinking of outdoor shops with old stock.
i dont like buying second hand stuff unless i know the previous owner .
i have two great tents akto and mountain hardware spear gt2  but my ideal tent woluld be hilleberg nallo 2 gt.
basically a good size tent thats light and a snip to pitch,
mind you i'm only dreaming i cant afford to buy a  box of matches at the moment  ::)
but no harm finding out were all these old stock are hiding theres bound to be shops with loads of tents they never  sold.

There are a lot of new "old stock" turning up on ebay. I think a lot of the high street stores either sell off their old stock in bulk which then ends up on ebay or have their own ebay sales.

It is worth a look anyway.
