Just back from our first tour along the Hadrians Cycle route with a short section of the C2C to get back. Great fun, lovely people, good scenery, inspiring history, real weather and the two Sherpas were excellent. No mechanicals, no punctures and just amazed at some of the surfaces we rode over. ;D

I guess we made most of the usual mistakes, too much kit, underestimated the effects of riding loaded bikes, and so-on ... but that's life and next time we will be better prepared ;-)

Wow, Steve!
What a great tour report! I'm still working my way through it over at CGOAB, and enjoying every page to the fullest.
You were surely thoughtful to come back and give us a link to "the rest of the story", and I'm so glad it went well for you both.
The bikes look fabulous, and so does the scenery (you two as well)! What a treat to read and see; thanks!
All the best,
Dan.

Thanks for the kind comments Dan - there'll be a few more minor edits as I spot spelling and grammar errors or think of something I should have added, but I think it is 99% complete now.
We have decided to do something similar in the future, probably involving more photography & painting so I have been measuring my DSLR and comparing it to the sizes of Bar Bags available ... this could become expensive!
