...While riding today...
I came to a fork in the road...
...and took it. :D
I've always wanted to say that, and the opportunity was just too good to pass up.
Someone lost this out of their car, probably on the way to the park for a picnic. It had landed tines-up on the shoulder, so it seemed like a good idea to take it home and put it in the trash where it couldn't puncture a bike or car tire.
Not a bad idea to carry a small bin liner in a jersey pocket or bike bag. I usually find and gather enough "sharp 'n' pokey" debris on a given ride to more than half fill one and somewhere, there's a Schwalbe, Panaracer, or whatever that is feeling a little happier as a result.
Best,
Dan. (who's just feeling silly on this 95F/35C day...)

Way back in May 2010.
And of course in the interests of being environmentally unfriendly, my fork was plastic!

:D And did it well, too!
Fun stuff, Matt, fun stuff. I look forward to reading your CGOAB entry.
All the best,
Dan.

Hi Dan, you're a good sport, so I gotta tell you I pinched this gag from my pal Chris Black.
He has logged a few blogs on crazy guy. A real road hero IMO. And a funny guy too.
Not funny guy as in The Goodfellas. But a funny guy. Someone who has inspired me in many ways.
