i have decided to sell my thorn sherpa.
after my disasterious tour of ireland i wont be doing any more touring thats more than a day or two,
so i'll use my raleigh for that.
given that my sherpa is in 100% perfect condition with all top notch gear including tubus racks front/rear
how much could i expect to get for it.
i need to get the best price possible lads.
thanks
jags

Jags,
I know rather than a complete bike, you ordered the frame and then built it up with a mix of top-notch MTB and road components, XT and Dura-Ace with Paul's cantilever brakes, dual Tubus racks, etc.
It is stunning.
Do you have some idea of the mileage you've put on it in total? And how old it is? Those could affect price to a degree.
Best,
Dan.

Jags,
I don't know if this will help, but here is an ad for a Sherpa in like-new condition offered here in the States two years ago for USD$1,500. It was Canadian Vikram Bannerjee's (Vik, late of this Forum) old frame, bought and rebuilt by a gentleman in Portland, OR, then offered for sale again. Very nicely kitted out, but not outfitted at the same level as yours. It sold. To see the ad, go to: http://www.adventurecycling.org/forums/index.php?topic=6906.0
Best,
Dan.

Hi Jags,
When I sold my sherpa it went for £750. Depending the equipment on it you could expect anything from £700 - £900.
Sorry to hear your tour was a disaster.
