Title: Mobile data in the USA ?
Post by: AndrewC on June 18, 2012, 01:14:09 PM
I'm off the USA for a month later this year. Since my last trip I've become a smartphone addict, and would like to be able to feed my habit while I'm on the move, without bankrupting myself with roaming charges. I'll mainly be in Arizona & Utah.

Can I buy a pre paid sim card when I get there ?  Or even better before I leave the UK ?  Which providers are best ?

I don't have a smart phone and really I know little about mobile phones. But I have a pre-paid Verizon (http://www.verizonwireless.com) phone here in the USA and I am happy enough with the service. Whether you can get a sim card for that, I don't know.

We got a TracFone (http://www.tracfone.com) for our teenager and that seems to work well too.
