My! The frame looks salvageable, but the bottom bracket eccentric looks shot and in sore need of replacement.
It'll be fun to follow this one and see where it closes. Intriguing find, Iain!

Yes, there is definitely £30 needing spent on a replacement EBB but as you say the frame looks salvageable and could be the basis of a solid, quality, economic bike build if it goes for the right price.
One for the hobbyist on a budget maybe.
