hi, I'm planing to cycle Germany this summer, around July or August. Cycling up the Rhine and down the Danube. Can anyone recommend any particular maps?
Thanks. 321rpm

The bikeline books Rhine Radweg series and Donau cover the whole route. You can get them in English or German. Although if you buy them in Germany, you may struggle to find the English ones. We rode the Rhine and Danube through Germany last year. The books are manageable if you can only find the German ones. Be warned though they don't allow for much distance either side of the river, so if you plan to make side trips you will need other maps.
Have fun
There is some information on our blog if you are interested.

You will find an overview over cycle routes along your way down the Rhine and the Danube here: www.mercurio-bike-travel.com/routes.htm (http://www.mercurio-bike-travel.com/routes.htm) The cycle paths in Germany and Austria are perfect.

Have to say as well that the signage is excellent (at least on the rhine and surrounding villages). You'll need a map of course but even a general map also show the cycle network.
