I'm in the process of building up a new Sherpa frame that I recently received. According to the brochure, all Thorn frames have undergone some sort of rust-proofing process. Looking inside the tubes, however, I see no traces of any framesaver. Should I just build the bike, trusting its tubes to be sufficiently protected against the elements, or should I give the frame a dose of linenseed oil first? Thanks.

Anything extra that you do is allways a step in the right direction, I'm not sure what processes are pre-built in to the frames but anything extra that you do will add to the protection. I use and can reccomend waxoyl which I put in with a brush on a long stick or under pressure from a spray gun.

You should only be able to see inside the seat tube. The other tubes have been blanked off.
