Hello, I am a newbie looking for feedback from Thorn, Raven Sport Tour or Club Tour owners.
I plan to use the bike for leisure/exercise some light off road, and possible cycle camping 2 to 3 days at a time also some 50 to 70 mile day trips. What’s the best bike for me. Would a Trek 7.5 FX at half the price be the answer.

Hi there,
I've had a RST and now have a Club Tour, built up quite sporty as my 'road bike'.
The rohloff is very good for simplicity of mantenance needed and I've now fitted that and all the kit off the RST to a Raven Tour frame which compliments how I've built and use the Club Tour.
Either will do the job you require.
I find the larger sizes of frames designed to 26" wheels can look out of proportion (especially with narrow tyres), depending on your height, the 700c frame may look better proportionally ?
No idea on the Trek.

The RST is twice the price for a good reason - The Trek is mass produced Aluminium framed / Carbon forked hybrid designed by marketing men who probably ride something better.
