Title: Shimano A550 Brake Pads
Post by: Paulson on May 02, 2010, 06:22:05 PM
I bought a set of Shimano A550 long drop caliper brakes when I was building up my Audax Mk3.  Today, probably prompted by the persistent rain I was riding through, I noticed that the brakes weren't really proving very efficient and were producing loads of brake dust.

Does anybody have any recommendations as to which pads would be a good upgrade on the OEM ones?  Thanks

KoolStop Dual Compound work pretty well under most conditions.
I think the Dura-Ace inserts will work in the A550, but better check.
SJS sell them, or there are plenty of other suppliers on the web.

+1 to Koolstop.
On aluminium alloy rims, salmon for wet or dual compound for all round capability.
