Hi Mike,

worth the wait?  Looks good in red and I think that the small frames always look good. how you getting on with the thumbshifters?

Thanks guys,
Thought red would make a change from 'stealth black'.
That very nice scenery is just a very short test ride from home.

Bob,
The thumbshifters work okay, in someways I find them smoother and more relaxing to use.
I am a bit heavy handed 'punching' in the gear changes with Rapidfire shifters.
Always get the feeling I'm going to break something.

Nice bike, I really like the geometry of sherpas.

Is the pump secure on the rear stay?  It looks as if it could bounce into the back wheel if you go on a rough track????

Geocycle,

The Zefal pump is the recommended size for the frame, a 460XL.
It has a very strong spring so I have no worries about security.

I'm sure it will be OK, just that I've had frame pumps jump off occasionally so made me nervous to see it on the back wheel like that.  What version Brooks is that?  Looks superb.

Hi Geocycle,

The saddle is the Brooks B17 Champion Special. It has a copper plated frame and the larger rivets.
So far it seems comfy enough using the more upright handle bars and riding position.
