Just finished a 545km trip to Holland and Germany. Had a great time, cycled Fussen to Nordlingen.

Looks good Bob. A quick question. Some german cyclists I met out on Tour in Cuba advised against cycle-touring in Germany on the basis that they thought there aren't enough quiet roads for relaxing cycling. How does this square up with your experience?

Hi Fred, from what we saw all of Germany is crisscrossed by cycle paths and there is no need to go on busy roads. Only time we encountered a busy road was when we got lost on approach to Augsburg on our was back.

Hello Fred, I live in Germany and cycled it as well as many other European countries. IT is truly well endowed with safe cycle paths. Have a look at what Tim writes (www.bicycleGermany.com). He gives a huge overview over what you could cycle. If you don't want to go alone, have a look at www.mercurio-bike-travel.com. They provide guided cycle holidays with small groups.

Danke schon 321 RPM
I will definitely get to Germany at some stage, if simply for the experience, and I will certainly research the first site further before I do - it looks to be an excellent first port of call for planning such a venture.
Cheers
Fred
