Has anyone done the above conversion and what forks did you use? I have looked around and the rigid forks Thorn offered at the time are for V brakes and their longer disc forks are for boost hubs, the Surly Straggler 700c forks looks like they should work but are there any other options I should look at?

I’ve not done the conversion you mention and I know nothing about frame/fork geometry but the axle to crown and offset measurements of the following two forks seem to be nearer to the Thorn Mt Tura V brake fork than the Surly Straggler.
The Soma Jawbone B type

and the Light Blue Darwin
https://www.sjscycles.co.uk/forks/the-light-blue-darwin-mt-700c-disc-fork-1-18-inch-black-50mm-offset/
If it was me I think I’d ring or wing an email to Thorn and ask them what they think would be suitable.

Thank you for those suggestions, I had looked at the SJS website but for some reason missed both of these.
