Title: FOR SALE - Thorn Raven Tour 562L frame fork and accessories - red - £150
Post by: mrtharrison on June 22, 2025, 05:55:17 PM
I recently transferred the wheels, and a few other parts from my Thorn Raven Tour onto a smaller which fits me better. I am therefore selling the Raven Tour 562L frame and Thorn twin plate fork - both in gorgeous rosso red metallic pearl - along with the Thorn handlebars, stem, headset, seat-post, eccentric bottom bracket, front and rear Thorn Expedition steel pannier racks and Zefal HPX pump which fits inside the rear triangle using the pump peg.

This frame is for 26 inch wheels with rim brakes. All bolts for mudguard and pannier rack fixings are included. The thread on one of the rear pannier rack attachment points has stripped, although I never had any problem with the bolt coming out whilst I was using this bike. You could retap it for a larger thread or use thread repair kit or just a liberal application of thread-locker.

I am asking for £150 for the lot.

The eccentric bottom bracket and vertical dropouts mean it is ideal for hub gears such as Rohloff or Shimano Affine, or single speed.

The bike has been well-used and so the frame is not in pristine condition with various scratches to the paintwork and some surface rust which I've tried to show in the photos. It is however structurally sound with no dents.

The original specs are available here:

The dimensions for the 562L frame size from the brochure are:
Actual seat tube (c to c): 472 mm
Slope: 90 mm
Virtual top tube: 615 mm
Chainstay: 453 mm
Seat angle: 72 mm
Mid tube standover height: 795 mm
Standover height at front of top tube: 836 mm

I'm based in North Wales and would prefer local collection, but can post within the UK at buyer's cost.
