Title: Shimano Ultegra Calipers on Audax Mk 3......
Post by: Planet X on May 22, 2025, 09:08:19 PM
Hi,
Can someone please clarify just what I'm looking for here please. I see two options on "Bike Discount.de",
 https://www.bike-discount.de/en/shimano-ultegra-br-r8100-brake-caliper-set
or
https://www.bike-discount.de/en/shimano-ultegra-br-r8110-direct-mount-brake-caliper-set-1

basically, the r8100 or r8110's?
Just a tad unsure what to order.
Cheers.

I don't think you want either.  You definitely don't want direct mount, that requires a frame and fork with specific fittings, rather than the generic hole for a central bolt.  I'm also almost certain you need a deep drop brake for the Audax frame, something like the Shimano 451, but you'll need someone with that model, or a phone call to SJS to confirm that.

Thanks for the reply PH, actually, I’m going to measure from crown bolt to mid rim and get an idea, as recommended.
