Central Paris: I viewed an exhibition of Ruth Orkin’s photographs, taken as she cycled across The USA as a 17 yo in 1939. Bit of a snapshot of a bygone era too.
The dress will I’m sure become a lucrative side hustle for The Bridgwater Fashion Dept! Personally I just don’t have the legs for it.

I rotated the photos for you, Ian, and for the members who don't have software to do it for themselves.
Fascinating subject. And without mudguards too! I bet that dress didn't look the same at the end of the journey.

Thanks for rotating them Andre. Some sort of technical anomaly I think.
In addition to the cycling dimension, the photos chronicle a particular era in America. Perhaps a glimpse into a rapidly changing world. The bike saddle might be a sprung Brooks and if so perhaps is the most forgiving part of a quite unforgiving bike. Fair play to Ruth!

I noticed those thin tyres.

Another thank you for the rotation, Andre.
