what size of bleumels fenders (53 or 60) fit the thorn sherpa?

I remember trying to fit 65 mm SKS fenders in the Sherpa, but there was insufficient clearance at the fork.

What size tyres are you hoping to fit? I doubt any tyre that warranted 65mm guards would fit. I have a recollection, like the Raven Tour, they originally had 45mm which are suitable for 1.75" tyres. I'd expect the 53's to fit fine.

I'm currently running PlanetBike mudguards/fenders on the Sherpa Mk2 fork I have fitted to my Enduro-Allroad bicycle (not a Thorn). The fenders caliper out at exactly 60.5mm wide and there's about 0.5mm clearance on each side between the edge of the fender and the inside of the fork blade. I'm running 26x2.0in Schwalbe Dureme tires that caliper out at 50.4mm when inflated to my preferred pressure; they originally measured 47.37mm when first fitted to the Ryde Andra 30 rims I have on that bike.
The original build sheet for my 2011 Thorn-built Sherpa Mk2 shows they fitted 26in SKS P55 Chromoplast mudguards to go with the 26x2.0 Dureme tires I spec'd. The P55 is rated to fit tires up to 2.0in wide, though I have seen some published specs say the fit to 2.1.

...you'll see they also fitted it with 26in SKS P55 Chromoplast mudguards to go with the 26x2.0 Dureme tires supplied with that bike. It is a later model than mine and includes the extended headtube.

I am also running Planet Bike (like Dan), mine are 60mm width.
They easily fit over 50mm Dureme and 50mm Extreme tires (both of those tires are now discontinued).
