At what point do you consider replacing your chain? Do you go by measurement?
Thanks!

When it's to loose it drops off the front ring :D ... Then I tighten the eccentric ... When no more eccentric adjustment, new chain

I go my measurements.
0.5 plan to replace.
0.75 definitely replaced.
Lots of different measurers but stick to one rather than try to compare 2.
Looking forward to others methods/ opinions.
Lots of good previous posts found with the :search' button

Should have said ... For a Rohloff I replace when there is no more eccentric adjustment
My derailleur bikes think about it at 0.5, replace at 0.75, but I run three chains in a cycle, with 2 cassettes

I was going to change my chain at around 10,000km as it was a bit too loose and I couldn't slide my dropouts back any further. Then I decided to try an experiment. I removed 2 links, slid the dropouts to their closest position and though I'd ride a couple of weeks on that to see if it was OK.
I'm coming up to 2000km on the shortened chain, and 12,000km since fitting it. It is well past 0.75, but works fine still at moment.
I plan to post pics of my toothless sprocket when I do change.
Chain is Connex 808.

I'm rooting for you to hit 20,000
Though if you do so on a chain that costs half of mine I might be a bit upset.
