Title: Halfway around the world
Post by: j-ms on January 05, 2020, 11:02:15 AM
A quick calculation from my journals has confirmed that, over the three years that we have had our Ravens, Leigh and I have toured over twenty thousand kilometers on four continents on them (this excludes other cycling in between tours).  The only problem we have had was when the clamp holding a Rohloff twist-shifter was broken when Leigh fell in Somerset during our tour of the UK last year - and you can't blame that on  the bikes.  It would be a pity if SJS were to discontinue the Raven because they are really are very reliable.

The clamp is a weak spot, but deliberately so. I believe the idea is that it cannot be tightened up sufficiently to damage the bar.
