Downtown in Canberra Australia this morning on my red Thorn Audax and noticed this other British classic parked.
They are probably agreeing that red bikes and red minis go faster.

That's a great looking bike!! I love the red. I bet it rides well, too

Fraser my Thorn Audax is now into its fifth year and I’ve ridden it constantly. Mostly used for loaded cycle commuting but also for a few tours. It’s a brilliant bike. Versatile, durable, quick, light and comfortable.

When I was buying my Sherpa I was advised that red bikes go faster :)

My Thorn Sherpa is black, so that must explain why it goes slower than my red Thorn Audax. :)

To throw a spanner in the works ....
My wife's Raven is red.

Hello!
Having owned a red bicycle or three I can confirm absolutely that red ones go faster.
In fact I’m so convinced of this that the second of my three (!) Audax 853 frames has just been refinished in polychromatic red!
Best to all and remember it will soon be Christmas!

Thanks for the link - it looks lovely. I will now spend the evening reading all about it. The finish on the frame looks top quality. I love the red Hope hubs. Beautiful

Total rubbish - blue is the fastest colour - so there
:)

I have a British Racing Green bike and it is a bit slower than red bikes. However, when I wear a red shirt I am back in the pack...

That Blue Shift affect depends if you are riding toward or away from the observer.:)

Mine's Britsh racing Green but being colourblind helps it go faster!
