After 18yrs at Thorn and 25 in the bike trade today is my last day.  From Monday its the start of a new career in the Rail industry. Its been a pleasure reading all your comments and discussions over the years.

So happy trails!

p.s. be nice to Dan he works very hard for little reward, without him the forum wouldn't be the place it is!

If it means that the trains will run as smoothly as my Thorn bike I welcome the move.

Good luck Dave and thanks for all your work and help. We met you a couple of times in the workshop on our visits and your knowledge of all things Rohloff is legendary.
You will be missed at Thorn and by all of us here. It won’t be the same without you.

Congratulations on a career change. I've had a few and found them refreshing and rewarding.

My 3 Thorns never had an issue when received  ,so thanks for that to you and your team.

Dave all the best for the next career. I greatly appreciated your frank and sound advice by email when I was buying my Thorn Bikes from afar in Australia.
It’s the customer service, and the bike quality, which makes Thorn bikes special.
You will be missed.
