Title: New bike
Post by: ridgeback63 on August 29, 2017, 06:17:51 PM
I was so happy with my Raven,I've gone and brought another Thorn, this beauty from the SJS website,I've admired her for a fair time and decided to take the plunge,I'm hoping she's going to be fine for club ride's,not carrying any weight apart from tubes and a few tool's,oh and I'm changing the tyres to some Durano plus (28)

Beautiful bike!

That gearing looks like real hill-climbing stuff.

Thanks folks,David, the rear cassette is a MTB one 11-42 with a little gizmo fitted that allows it to be used with a road STI lever, this bike has been sat on SJSC website for a fair amount of time, and shortly after getting my Raven I saw this beauty and started saving like mad for it,and finally brought it and I'm chuffed to bits with her

i use Modolo granfondos on one of my xtc's and also my sherpa, love them,
must admit i have seen the Soma Condor drops and really fancy giving them a try they have a 46mm rise, means a lot shorter spacer stack

Class job every bit as good as mine  ;D ;D

does that mirror work ,what the verdict on it i still need to get one.
the one i bought from CRC is useless  shimmers all over the place and just cant adjust it for clear rear view.

jags.

Bike looks fantastic.

Thanks for your compliments ,means a lot from the distinguished folk of this forum, the mirrors not bad jags,it's a bit small but doesn't get in the way of my knee,no wobbling or anything, works quite well, just small.
