Title: dawes v nomad

hi all ,,help me out here, my lbs can get me  the dawes ultra galaxy ,,but the bike i really want is thorn nomad (,600 wheels as ill be doing some off road)thing is how does these two bikes compare, im a roadie so havent much of an idea about touring bikes, or touring, for that matter, in the next year or so, me and a friend are planning a trip to turkey  so i need a really good bike,,( ps i dont have thousants to spend)any thoughts thanks...

Hi

I've had a Dawes Super Galaxy in the past - great bike.  I've just taken delivery of a Raven Sport Tour - fabulous bike - light and swift (but probably not suitable for what you want).  But the really big deal is the Rohloff hub.  Fantastic - wish I could have one fitted to my road bike.

I don't know if the nomad if fitted with a Rohloff hub - if not what about the Raven Tour?
