Hi All
A few months ago I bought an old Thorn Exp frame from a well known auction site. Paint is pretty much shot so I need to repaint it. After a bit of research it looks like the Exp frame paint was 2 tone affair.
Being honest I'm not the biggest fan of that style.
I like powder coating, I tend to abuse my bikes quite a bit but am looking into getting it enameled at the local frame sprayers in Leeds.
I would like your thoughts on keeping the two tone colour scheme, getting it powder coated or professionally painted at Bob Jacksons in Leeds.
What colour/colours should I go for?

orange is all the go theses days .
blue with white bands on seat tube and white headtube makes for a classy looking bike.
good luck with the bike ,get that color right 8)

I'd opt for BRG, a little on the dark side, with silver accents from crank, rims/spokes, and mudguards.
Plan B might be midnight blue, again with silver accents.

John, i'll second your choice of brg with chrome/ siver.
Regards Alfie ;)

A third endorsement of BRG from me.
Best,
Dan.

Alfie, Dan - what excellent taste you have! ;)

Colour Tech will do a much neater job than Bob's as they painted them initially and have the stencils for the EXP and Thorn logo's

Thanks everyone.
Will look into Colour Tech.
Will keep you updated with pics in the next few months
