Well i'm back for another while ,
i spend the last 6 months wrecking Dan head on what bike he reckoned would be best for the type of touring i do, light fast comfy all the usual stuff a fred wants to know.
we came up with the Thorn Audax so i ordered it last sunday should have it this week or early next i reckon.
oh i went for Matt black frameset 525small med. should fit my little body well enough.
i won't get it built up for months yet, yes u guessed i'm stone broke once again :'(
so that's the latest buzz from Anto i will annoy the heads off yis all in the coming months.
anto.

That's weird Anto, I was wondering if you'd decided to go for the Audax frame on my ride to work this morning. Glad you ordered it, looking forward to seeing the build completed.
What sort of components are you planning on using?
We've missed your banter on the forum, glad you're back.
Regards,
Neil

Hi Antonio,
It's a 250cc engine to drive the rohloff .
Actually it's an Abus folding lock attached to the bottle cage mounts.
Bob
-
i could do with an engine at time Bob ,there was a guy in our group few weeks back he was on an electric bike :( he flew up all the hills we thought it was some craic all us freds on our expensive carbon bikes and here's ya man leaving us for dust ;D ;D.
the nomad looks class Bob any tours on it since i last talked to you. whats the future tours.

Neil cheers man your own audax is looking fantastic glad it worked out for you pity it was to big for me but sure it went to a good home.
i will have to consult my main man (Dan) about what to buy next ;D
i was thinking of going all black .but i'll no doubt change my mind again. what im thinkg is .
Tiagra 10 speed sti leavers
tiagra front and rear mechs
FSA vero compact bars
stem to match
Fizik Alanti Saddle
jury out on crankset
but i know i want 50/34/28
my custom wheels have 11 to32 cassette
so with that combo i'll climb any wall you want to put in front of me (yeah right)
isn't me Grammer coming on a treath these days ;D ;D
-
Great to see you're back Anto, the craic here will definitely be going up a notch or two now! ;D
-
Jim wait till i tell you how i managed to pull off this stroke buying a new frame.
about 6 weeks ago my better half said to me . I'm thinking of getting a loan from the wonderful credit union .we need to get new doors windows and we badly need the house painted.
Bing once i heard that i was in like a bull.
ah yes honey good thinking sure as soon as we get the windows doors sorted i'll paint everything that need painting and sure u might as well get enough of a loan to cover your trip to America next year sure why not .
i kept quiet for a few hours because i knew she was way ahead of Anto. so when she said what are u up to i had her all wrapped up . ;)
how i'm going to manage a new groupset is another story ,wish me luck.
-
hahahah chancer! I'm sure you'll wangle a groupset somehow or other ;)
-
